Blagojevic Branimir

Serbia-National Bank

When I started my journey at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2013), I was a Senior Associate for Public Procurement Issues in the Procurement Centre of the National Bank of Serbia, in charge of coordination and control over a Group for Implementation of Public Procurement Procedures, with quite an experience in public procurement. Nevertheless, IMPPM expanded my horizons and gave me a broader view on public procurement, interdisciplinary knowledge and a chance to engage with great teachers and fellow colleagues.
In October 2013 I became an Adviser for Public Procurement Legal Issues in the Procurement Centre of the National Bank of Serbia and in June 2015 a Senior Adviser in the National Bank’s Controlling Centre (Division for Strategic Planning and Procurement Assessment). During 2015 I was hired by the UNDP as a local legal expert to provide support to the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures (Serbia’s PP Review body). In December 2015 I was elected by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to be a Member of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, which is my current position. I am also a member of the Negotiating Group 5 – Public Procurement, for accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union (in charge of Defense Procurement) and a member of a working group for editing the translations of the European Union acquis.
As an attempt to follow a path to better public procurement in my country I will strive to give back and implement and share knowledge and experience I gained, as well as to further develop it.
