Rima Assaf has been serving at Électricité du Liban (EDL) since 2011 and currently holds the position of Head of Division for Technical Work Methodologies in the Studies Directorate. Her responsibilities include technical studies and reporting, participation in sector-development committees and initiatives, support for projects related to distributed renewable energy, net metering, and advanced metering infrastructure, as well as involvement in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and reception committees. She holds a PhD in Electronics from the École Polytechnique de Nantes, France (2009), a DEA in Computer Science from the Lebanese University in coordination with the University of Toulouse, France (2003), and a degree in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the Lebanese University (2002). She also serves as a part-time lecturer at the Lebanese University.
