Michele Appiah‑Boateng is an Associate in External Investigations at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), within the Office of the Chief Compliance Officer, where she conducts investigations into allegations of prohibited practices in EBRD‑financed projects and assets. Prior to joining EBRD, she led investigations for international and bilateral development organisations at a global professional services firm, where she also designed and delivered fraud and corruption awareness and prevention training and advised organisations on integrity controls and compliance frameworks. Michele is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and holds a Master of Forensic Accounting.
