Bishko Mariia
I, Mariia Bishko, hold a complete higher legal education. In 2014, I graduated from Ivan Franko National
University of Lviv with a degree in Law, having obtained a Master’s degree qualification. I am fluent in
Ukrainian and have a B2 level of proficiency in English. In 2019, I obtained a Certificate of the Right to Practice
Law, issued by the Kyiv City Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission.
I began my professional career in December 2014 at the Lviv Commercial Court of Appeal, where I worked as
a court hearing secretary and subsequently as a judge’s assistant. During this period, I gained practical
experience in court administration, preparation of procedural documents, analysis of legal positions, and
organization of judicial proceedings.
In December 2018, I joined the Western Commercial Court of Appeal, where I held the position of an
employee of the Human Resources Department. Within the scope of my official duties, I ensured human
resources support for the institution’s activities, organization of records management, and internal
administrative processes.
Since October 2019, I have been working at PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, where I have consistently held senior
managerial positions in the areas of legal support, property relations management, and implementation of
investment projects. I began my employment as Head of the Property Relations and Corporate Rights
Department and was later appointed Deputy Director of the Legal Support and Property Relations
Department. From September 2021 to February 2025, I headed the Department for Implementation of
Innovative Projects. Since February 2025, I have been holding the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer
for Investment Activities and International Fundraising.
Within my professional activity, I specialize in attracting financing from international financial institutions,
coordinating investment programs, and developing international partnerships. I have been directly involved
in the preparation and implementation of strategically important projects in the hydropower sector aimed
at restoration, modernization, and enhancement of the reliability of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities.
With my participation, significant volumes of international financing have been mobilized, including funds
from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as governmental donor programs.
My functional responsibilities include organizing negotiation processes with international financial
organizations, investors, donors, and public authorities; concluding international agreements and overseeing
their implementation; managing the full life cycle of investment projects—from strategic planning to
commissioning of facilities; coordinating procurement procedures in accordance with international
standards; ensuring the preparation of technical and project documentation; and monitoring budgets,
schedules, and key performance indicators.
I place particular emphasis on risk management, analytical support of investment programs, and preparation
of reports for public authorities, international financial institutions, and internal corporate structures. I
ensure effective cooperation with contractors, consultants, equipment manufacturers, and other
stakeholders involved in project implementation. I manage the activities of specialized structural units aimed
at increasing the efficiency of management processes and introducing modern approaches to the
implementation of infrastructure projects.
I possess substantial managerial and practical experience in the field of international financing,
implementation of infrastructure and energy projects, legal support of investment activities, and strategic
development of enterprises. In my professional activity, I adhere to the principles of responsibility,
transparency, systematic approach, and result orientation, focusing on strengthening international
cooperation, developing investment potential, and enhancing Ukraine’s energy resilience.
