John Karani is a senior Pan-African procurement and supply chain executive with over 30 years of experience across leading multinationals including Coca-Cola, Diageo, GlaxoSmithKline, and Wrigley. He has held top leadership roles, most notably as Global Strategic Procurement Director at Coca-Cola, overseeing operations across 39 countries. Currently, he serves as Secretary General of the African Supply Chain Confederation (ASCON) and has chaired key institutions such as the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and Uchumi Supermarkets.

He is recognized for driving large-scale supply chain transformation, improving efficiency, and embedding sustainable procurement practices aligned with global ESG standards. Karani combines strong strategic vision with hands-on execution, delivering measurable results in complex, multi-country environments.

An experienced board leader, he has contributed to governance, policy development, and stakeholder engagement across both public and private sectors.
