Angeles Itzab hails from the Caribbean-Central American nation of Belize. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Sector Management from the University of Belize, a Master’s in Business Administration from Galen University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Management from the Central American Institute for Public Administration. With a deep passion for procurement and its critical role in public service, Angeles began her career at the Belize Social Investment Fund, where she has served in the capacity of Senior Procurement Officer since 2022. In this role, she has been responsible for overseeing the procurement of various development projects funded by international organizations such as the Caribbean Development Bank, the CARICOM Development Fund, and the Inter-American Development Bank. 

Angeles strongly believes that effective procurement practices are key to ensuring transparency, efficiency, and value for money in public sector initiatives. She is eager to further develop her expertise through this International master’s program, gaining advanced knowledge and best practices that she can bring back to Belize. Her goal is to contribute meaningfully to the improvement of public procurement policies and operational standards, fostering a more robust and accountable procurement system that supports national development and sustainable growth.
