Elias El Namroud is an Agricultural Engineer at the Green Plan under the Ministry of Agriculture in Lebanon, with a strong background in land reclamation, irrigation systems, and project management. Born on July 8, 1982, in Beirut, Elias has dedicated his career to advancing agricultural practices, sustainable development and effective project management.
Elias holds a Master’s Degree in Food Sciences and Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences. His academic foundation has been complemented by numerous specialized training programs, including the Climate Action Support Transparency Training Programme (CASTT) by UNFCCC, and courses in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Hydrodynamic Modelling at the Institute for Water Education in Delft, The Netherlands.
In addition to his engineering role, Elias has been a Procurement Officer for projects, aimed at climate adaptation in agriculture. He has managed procurement activities, ensuring compliance with guidelines, developing procurement tools, and overseeing the evaluation of bids and contracts
