Benzina Mariam
My name is Mariam BENZINA. I was born and raised in Morocco. I hold a Master’s degree in Financial Management and Accounting and have dedicated over seven years of my career to public service at the General Treasury of the Kingdom of Morocco (GTK). Currently, I serve as the Manager of the Department for Public Expenditure Control on Goods and Services, where I lead a team in overseeing critical aspects of public procurement and financial governance.
Through my tenure at the GTK, I have developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of public finance and procurement frameworks. I have worked on implementing procurement policies that uphold transparency and efficiency while ensuring compliance with Moroccan regulations. As a manager, I take pride in monitoring public expenditures for regularity and settlement, implementing policies that prioritize transparency, efficiency, and accountability. Over the past two years in this leadership position, I have championed initiatives that align procurement practices with ethical standards and sustainable development goals.
My work has granted me a profound understanding of the intersection between public finance and procurement frameworks. Now, I am eager to expand my horizons through the International Master in Public Procurement Management (IMPPM) at Tor Vergata University. This program’s rigorous curriculum perfectly complements my professional journey, offering advanced tools to navigate complexities in public procurement. I am excited to translate the knowledge gained into actionable strategies within my organization and contribute to broader discussions on global best practices.
