I currently work as a Civil Servant as a Head of Procurement Plan for Local Government at Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintah (LKPP) or National Public Procurement Agency (NPPA) Republic of Indonesia for almost ten years. This institution carries a quite heavy and strategic mission which is to improve the conditions of public procurement in Indonesia.
We develop progressive public procurement policy formulations, develop and implement public procurement information systems, develop public procurement-related human resources throughout Indonesia and provide legal assistance and advocacy for public procurement practitioners.
I consider myself as a public procurement policy-maker and also procurement practitioner. As a policy-maker I’m responsible for formulating regulations and developing public procurement information systems regarding procurement planning for central and local governments in Indonesia. As a procurement practitioner, I was assigned as a commitment-making official, who is responsible for arranging procurement plan, making agreements with suppliers and vendors until the goods or services are handed over.
I attended several trainings and seminars related to procurement such as supply chain management and FIDIC Form of Contract, I’m also join as a part of global initiative to promote open government, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance through The Open Government. This is a valuable opportunity for me to join IMPPM Public Procurement Management International Program at University Tor Vergata.
