Dr. Matthew Olczak is a Reader in Economics and currently Head of the Economics and International Business Department at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. He  conducts research in industrial organisation, competition policy and sports economics. This has been widely published in international economics and competition law journals. Furthermore, he is a co-author of a book on hub-and-spoke cartels published in 2022. He has taught microeconomics, industrial organisation, competition policy, behavioural economics and sports economics. Matthew has a keen interest in using and researching technology, in particular online games, to enhance teaching and learning.  He is a Principal Fellow of Advance HE and an Associate of the Economics Network.
