Mr. Álvaro Díez has over 25 years of international experience in managing multinational companies and divisions, coordinating international teams within the consulting and engineering industry. He has worked for leading organizations such as KPMG, SMEC, McCann Erickson, IRD Engineering, and EPTISA.

Throughout his career, he has led the strategic and operational approach in front of more than 2,000 tendering procedures in over 100 countries, all for consultancy and engineering service contracts funded by major multilateral organizations, with a total value exceeding 5 billion USD.

Since 2017, he serves as the Deputy General Manager at IRD Engineering, an Italian multidisciplinary consulting and engineering company with a permanent presence in 30 countries in Europe and Asia. The company is ranked 131^st in the “ENR Top 225 International Design Firms” list by Engineering News Record. Currently, he is directly involved in implementing a project portfolio worth over 120 million USD in service contracts.

Mr. Díez holds two Master's degrees in Business Administration and International Management from Instituto de Empresa (IE Business School) and an Honors Degree in Business Administration from Coventry University (UK).

He is a friend and visiting professor of the IMPPM at Tor Vergata University of Rome since 2020, providing students with insights into the private sector's perspective on international and multilateral procurement activities.
