He’s currently the Head of Smart Infrastructures Business Unit of A2A”, the biggest Italian multiutility. The business Unit is active in electricity and gas distribution, water management, district heating and smart city businesses, with over a billion euro revenues and over 3000 workers.

He spent the previous 12 years of his professional career in different procurement roles in Enel, a global electrical utility. In the last five years he created and headed the Global Procurement, a function present in 14 countries, with 850 people and a 14 b€ procurement budget. The procurement function of Enel was considered in the top group (best 7%) of all procurement functions considered in a multi-industry benchmark compiled by AtKearney in 2017 thanks to its strengths in global sourcing, IT maturity and integration allowing for capture of scale and scope economies.

Previously he spent 15 years in consulting, first in Accenture and then in McKinsey, working mainly in operational excellence and growth programs for industrial companies in Europe.

He covered various Board roles in A2A and ENEL, both in Italy and abroad, and lectures on procurement themes in the master class of Tor Vergata University in Rome.
