Rusticelli Gaia
I graduated in law at Tor Vergata University, with a final dissertation on administrative law about economic crisis and privatization process. During my university studies I attended several seminars regarding contract management and building procurement.
On building procurement, I participated in a class regarding FIDIC (Fédéracion Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils) contracts.
My first working experience was a trainee in Valletti and Baldi law firm, based in Rome. After the law trainee, I was selected for an internship at IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) a United Nations Agency focused exclusively on rural poverty reduction, working with poor rural populations in developing countries to eliminate poverty, hunger and malnutrition, where I worked in the Procurement Office.
At IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) I actively worked on several procurement activities, specifically on tender process and contract management. This internship gave me the possibility to improve my knowledge of procurement, specifically procurement in the UN System of Organizations, having the opportunity to really understand the meaning of procurement and the sense of the tender process.
Procurement has always been a field of interest for me. Attending IMPPM programme at Tor Vergata University will give me the opportunity to improve my knowledge in the field of public procurement and exchange experience with colleagues from different countries.
