Chantladze Nikolozi
I was born in 1985 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2007 I graduated Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Georgia from the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences and was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations. In 2007 I enrolled in American University for Humanities and in 2009 I was awarded a Master’s Degree in Master of Business Administration. In 2012, from January to July, I passed a course of Certified Financial Manager in Free University of Georgia. In 2015 November I passed State Procurement Course organized by State Procurement Agency of Georgia.
From 2014 to date I work in Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia Ltd. under control of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia at the position of Chief Procurement Coordinator. I am a part of the Project Implementation Unit which works on projects financed by International Financial Institutions like European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. I like my profession a lot because it is a dynamic process since every project is unique.
My company has contracted different Consultants which are Project Implementation Consultants and Corporate Development Consultants for different ongoing projects and working with them is a great experience. The company’s strategy is to build up to 10 EU Standards Compliant Regional Sanitary Landfills by IFIs funded projects, which means that all the procurement processes must be performed in compliance with IFIs procurement rules and guidelines. I do believe that the theoretical and practical knowledge and experience that I will get form International Master in Public Procurement Management of the University of Rome Tor Vergata will contribute a lot to my further career development in procurement and will smooth the way for successful implementation of the company’s projects.
Apart from that, I expect that this Master will enable me to aquire new friends which is a great advantage as you have broad network of contacts with people in procurement and you can directly exchange your experience.
Finally, I want to thank EBRD, University of Rome Tor Vergata and all other stakeholders for this great opportunity.
