Ūdre Arita
Arita has been working for the Procurement Monitoring Bureau (PMB) of Latvia since 2006. In 2013, she was responsible for establishing the Administrative Penalties Department to ensure a new function of the PMB – the examination of administrative violation matters in the field of public procurement and public and private partnerships. Her main responsibilities also include examination of complaints according to the EU Remedies Directive, providing methodological support and trainings to contracting authorities, contracting entities and economic operators, law drafting and participation in the meetings of the Saeima (Parliament) Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy Committee. In previous positions in the Methodology Department of the PMB, she was involved in the transposition of EU Directives (2004/17/EC, 2007/66/EC, 2009/33/EC) into national legislation.
