Stefanova Elena Ivanova
I was born in 1978, in Sofia, Bulgaria. My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Economics of Telecommunication from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia – Faculty of Infrastructure and a Master’s degree in Macroeconomics from the Sofia University – Faculty of Economics.
In the National Electric Company I am working on projects financed with grants and loans from IFIs (EBRD and EIB). Since 2007 I am coordinator of the Project Management Units for the procurement and implementation of all projects, co-financed by the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF), administered by EBRD, related to the rehabilitation and extension of the Bulgarian power transmission system. These projects include the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of plant and equipment for the refurbishment and construction of electrical substations, high voltage lines and as of recently – hydro power plants.
The International Master Program in Public Procurement Management is a huge challenge for me. I strongly believe I’ll be able to gain in-depth knowledge, exchange experience so that I improve the quality of my work and get a comprehensive view on the entire PP process and best practices applied in real life. Also, I look forward to meeting new and interesting people as well as friends.
