Matthias Meyerhans, Director, Administrative Services Division, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Rome
Matthias Meyerhans joined the UN system in 2000. He is currently working as Director of IFAD’s Administrative Services Division with responsibility for Corporate Procurement and Facilities Management, amongst others. Prior to joining IFAD in 2010, he worked as Chief of the Logistics and Transportation Section of the UN Secretariat's Procurement Division with responsibility for the procurement of long and short term air charters, sea charters and other logistics requirements for UN Peacekeeping missions worldwide. Matthias also worked as Procurement Officer for the Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome (2003 - 2007) and the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna (2000-2003). Earlier in his career, he worked as Contracting Officer and Consultant for Daimler Benz Aerospace in Germany and Italy.
He holds a PhD in economic and social sciences as well as master and bachelor degrees in socio-economics and business administration from Hochschule fuer Wirtschaft und Politik (University of Hamburg), Hamburg, Germany.
