ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In order to be eligible to participate in the International Master in Public Procurement Management programme, applicants should have the following prerequisites:

  • Candidates should have earned a valid degree that allows access to postgraduate level programs in Italy: a course of study with a duration of at least four years.
  • Applicants with at least five years of prior working experience in procurement will be given preference during the selection process. Only a limited number of applicants who have recently graduated and who have little professional experience in procurement will be taken into consideration.
  • Applicants must be proficient in English, however no proficiency exams or certificates will be required. English knowledge will be evaluated during the interviews with candidates.
  • All applications must be completed through the electronic Application Form and submitted no later than the established deadline. 

Please note that the admitted applicants are required to send a letter of release by their employer stating that they are released from any professional duty for the entire period of the Master.

 

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

The process for admission involves the following steps:

1. Fill out the Online Application Form and attach any pertinent documents relating to your academic and professional career.

2. The documents and the information contained therein will be reviewed by the admission committee.

3. Potentially valid candidates will be contacted for an interview.

4. Applicants who meet all of the requirements will be sent an acceptance letter.

   

ENROLMENT PROCEDURES

The process for enrolment involves the following steps:

1. After candidates have received their letters of acceptance, they will be advised to immediately contact the nearest Italian Diplomatic Authority and begin the process of obtaining a Declaration of Value. This process requires the translation into Italian of the candidates’ university transcripts and can take several weeks, therefore students are advised to apply for a DV as soon as possible. Students will only be admitted for enrolment if they have submitted their original DV no later than 30 days after the beginning of classes. Students who have earned their degree in an Italian university are exempt from this procedure.

2. Non-EU citizens should also make an appointment at an Italian Diplomatic Authority to apply for a visa, which will enable students to reside in Italy for the duration of the lectures in Rome.

3. Prior to arrival in Italy, it will be necessary for foreign students to decide which kind of student housing they prefer while living in Rome.

4. Prior to arrival in Italy, students will be requested to send an E-mail to the Master Secretariat (public.procurement@uniroma2.it) with a scanned copy of the DV, any relevant translations and their visa. Upon arrival in Rome, students will be requested to submit the original DV to the Master Secretariat.
